To build a bridge linking higher education with basic education, faculty and students from the School of Physical Science and Technology visited Fenglin Road Middle School in Tianjin on May 29 to host a campus science popularization event themed "Building Dreams for Youth, Innovating Toward the Future."

The science class was led by Cao Chengqi, a student from the 2022 cohort majoring in Applied Physics. Using the theme "Exploring the Fascinating World of Static Electricity," he tailored his presentation to the cognitive characteristics of middle school students. Centered around engaging experiments, he vividly explained physics concepts related to static electricity, guiding the students to experience the charm of the world of electricity.

The lively and intriguing experimental phenomena captured the attention of all the students, creating an active classroom atmosphere. During the interactive Q&A and group experience sessions, students eagerly asked questions and actively participated in hands-on activities, resulting in enthusiastic interactions between the teachers and students.

The School of Physical Science and Technology will continue to organize diverse and immersive science popularization activities, promoting the regular introduction of high-quality science resources into schools. This initiative aims to boost the scientific literacy of teenagers and inject youthful vitality into the cultivation of regional scientific and technological innovation talents.
