The Physics Department undertakes teaching tasks for University Physics across the entire university as well as for the Applied Physics major, covering a wide range of disciplines. In the past three years, faculty members have edited and published multiple physics textbooks, some of which are planned textbooks. "University Physics" has been established as a Tianjin Municipal Quality Course.

Adhering to a "student-centered" philosophy that emphasizes foundations and fosters innovation, the School's Physics Experiment Center continuously deepens experimental teaching reforms. Every year, various experimental courses are offered for undergraduates in non-physics science and engineering majors as well as Applied Physics students. With a substantial annual teaching workload, the center offers a rich variety of experimental projects. Supported by relevant projects, the municipal hybrid first-class course "University Physics Experiment C" was established. The center has improved experimental teaching evaluation standards, constructed virtual simulation experiment projects, and opened them for use by students university-wide. Simultaneously, the School actively carries out physics experiment outreach activities and "Primary-Secondary-University Integration" initiatives to promote physics experiment popularization, enhance the professional level of experimental teachers, and expand the radiation function of the demonstration center.
